Створений киянами, Kyiv by Locals — це зручний і сучасний англомовний гід українською столицею. Чотири подруги, закохані в місто, у якому вони виросли, зібралися якось за чашкою кави та вирішили створити щось, що б віддзеркалювало їхню любов до карт, фотографії, історії та головне – до міста Київ. Ті, хто живуть в Україні, знають, яке чудове наше місто, саме тому ми вирішили сконцентрувати увагу на іноземцях, які відвідують столицю. Саме тому Kyiv by Locals — це зручний і привабливий англомовний гід із фотографіями та рекомендаціями киян та ілюстраціями талановитої Тані Шийки.

Наша головна мета — це показати місто таким, яким бачимо його ми. Ті місця, у які із задоволенням ходимо ми самі, а також наші друзі та рідні. Ми не любимо слово “туризм” і хочемо, щоб відвідувачі Києва повезли додому справжні автентичні та цілісні враження, якими б вони хотіли поділитися зі своїм оточенням.

We are glad that you are visiting this page. It means that you are either in our beautiful city, or you are planning to visit in the future. We are the team at Kyiv by Locals. We grew up in the city and consider it our home. All of us love to travel abroad, see different places and meet people around the world. However, returning to this city of golden domes and green hills located on the banks of the River Dnipro, is a pleasure beyond words. Never in recent history has Kyiv been so vivid and vibrant. Despite all odds, art, cultural and social life are booming. New businesses continue to open and more and more people visit each year.

When coming up with the idea of creating a new travel guide, we didn’t want to make a boring pocketbook with stock pictures and basic information. We wanted to take the best parts of our city and put them together in a small book. We asked our friends, relatives and partners to tell us their favorite places in order to make your travel experience, pleasant and as much fun as possible. We have experienced all the places mentioned, so you can be sure that they meet our complete approval.

We collaborated with the local Instagram community who submitted the pictures of the places where locals really go – to drink coffee, have a party, or meet their loved ones. As a result you not only have a guide, but also a small photo diary of the Kyivites, captured through the lenses of their cameras and smartphones.
